We will feature two builds. Professional Craftsman and CJWA Member John Tomaino will highlight a Wall Unit he built for a customer to house media and memorabilia, adding a nice touch of character to an otherwise large and empty wall.
Member Bob Emmons will share his latest build, a custom sideboard design that will find a home in his family room. Made from quarter sawn sycamore, snakewood, soon to be ebonized walnut, ebony, and mother of pearl, this piece has has taken the better part of a year and has brought many new woodworking challenges and techniques into his craft.
Our presenter this month will be past club President Matt Kestenbaum. A few years ago Matt moved to Bucks County, PA. He has been incredibly busy since then, setting up a new shop and having the house remodeled, basically from the floor up. In the process, Matt designed and built most of the cabinetry for the new house along with a beautiful custom Cherry Kitchen. The talk will include a shop tour along with the process Matt came up with to efficiently build custom cabinets on large scale.
